Parenting is a complex and rewarding journey that often comes with its own set of challenges. As much as parents may try to do their best, they may find themselves struggling with issues related to their children’s behavior, communication, or emotional wellbeing.
The therapy process can help parents improve their relationship with their children, build stronger family connections, and promote a healthy and thriving home environment.
Our team has specialized training in the areas of parenting and family systems. We aim to normalize the parenting experience, taking a non-judgmental approach and aim to provide parents with the skills we often missed in our own raising.
At Tenacity we strongly believe that it takes the hard work of parents to be conscious enough to break the cycles of intergenerational trauma.
We work with families that are referred to us by the court, Child and Family Services, or are self-referred. We will complete an assessment and tailor an approach that is specific to your family and circumstances. If you are looking for an intervention that is not specifically listed, please contact us, we are here to help.

Designed to help parents and caregivers manage the behavior of strong-willed children. These children may be perceived as difficult, defiant and may be diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or oppositional defiant disorder (ODD).

Family Restructuring Therapy is an intervention specific for co-parents. This type of therapy may be recommended to you to mitigate stressors related to high conflict parenting or as an alternative to solve parenting issues without litigation.
In Family Restructuring Therapy, the therapist works with the family as a whole to identify patterns of behavior that are causing problems and develop strategies to address them. Family Restructuring Therapy has been shown to be effective in improving family functioning, reducing conflict, and promoting positive relationships within the family. It can be particularly helpful for families experiencing significant stressors such as divorce, blended family issues, or other major life changes.

At our practice, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise that may prevent you from attending a scheduled appointment. We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your time slot to another patient who may be in need of an appointment. We appreciate your flexibility with scheduling and in turn offer the same flexibility back. If we have availability to reschedule your appointment within the same week and without disrupting your next week’s session the cancelation fee will be waived. However, we have a strict policy that appointments that are missed or cancelled without 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. We believe that this policy is fair to both our clients and our practice, as it allows us to better serve our clients and maintain our schedule. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in adhering to our late policy.
In order to allow the appropriate time necessary for the therapeutic process, we ask that you try to make your appointments on time. We understand unforeseen circumstances happen so please call or message us if you expect to be late. However, we can only guarantee the appointment time that is scheduled due to our other client commitments. If clients attend within 15 minutes, the session will be provided for the remaining time and billed for the full fee. After 15 minutes we will consider your appointment a no-show which will incur the full charge.
